GOVERNMENT LIVESTOCK FARM
To meet the demand of camels and bullocks, the farm was established in the year 1809 by Maor Lumsdaine. Afterwards, the breeding work of bull production as well as milk production of Hariana cow was undertaken at this Farm. At present not only Hariana cows but also other indigenous breeds viz. Tharparkar & Sahiwal as well as crossbreeds are being reared. The main objective of the farm is to produce elite pedigreed bulls of Hariana Sahiwal, Tharparkar as well as that of exotic breeds for breed improvement.
